Electric Rigs, AI Bots & New Borders: Parcel Logistics Rewired
Nordic Logistics: Electric Highways Arrive
PostNord has rolled out Sweden’s first Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 long-haul flat-bed truck from its Veddesta terminal. The battery-electric rig offers up to 500 km range, rapid DC charging and energy-recapture braking, enough to replace diesel on core trunk routes. Five more eActros 600s are on order as PostNord pushes for a fossil-free fleet by 2030. (PostNord)

Middle East Moves: Building a Gulf Gateway
Maersk Saudi Arabia and Saudi Post (SPL) signed an MoU that welds Maersk’s ocean and Jeddah Integrated Logistics Park with SPL’s nationwide last-mile grid. Maersk will handle origin freight and bonded fulfilment, while SPL takes care of express customs clearance and final-mile delivery, giving global e-commerce brands an end-to-end path into the Kingdom and wider GCC.
